x What is an NFT and why does it matter?
NFTs are unique digital items. More specifically, they are non-interchangeable units of data stored on a blockchain that can be sold and transferred. NFTs may be associated with digital files such as photos, videos, or audio. Because each NFT is uniquely identifiable, however, they differ from fungible cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ether.

x How does ownership of a digital artwork work?

Ownership of digital art works via a non-fungible token (NFT) which is a digital certificate of ownership built on blockchain technology. That contains the provenance, the history, and all activities surrounding a digital asset. It is on the blockchain - meaning the activities can be viewed by the public and it is immutable - it cannot be forged, never.

x I never purchased an NFT, how start?

In order to purchase an NFT, you need two things: a crypto wallet, and cryptocurrency such as Ethereum (ETH, Ξ). It's easy enough to get both, here's how to get ready to purchase your first NFT in 3 easy steps.

x What rights do I have to do with the songs I own?

If you own one of the 9987 generative songs, you can do almost anything with it. Everything is possible except any kind of music sales e.g. on music streaming or download platforms. For example you can do remixes, and we will provide the single tracks (bass, drums, horns etc) of the specific NFTs you own in our studio.flowtys.com for convenient download.

As for the 13 Moonlight Love Affair album songs, based on the legal and rights situation the songs are generally only available for private use. However, if you own the NFT and want to use the song in any way, please get in touch with nft@etagenoir.com.

x How do I get on the Whitelist?

Flowtys owners can sign up to the WL in our Discord. Otherwise if you don't own a Flowty, wait for the public mint which will start 24 hours after the whitelisted pre-mint.

x What does „generative“ mean?
It means the finished artwork was generated via an algorithm. We, the artists, provide the algorithm with single parts and traits of the art and let the computer randomly generate the 10.000 single artworks using the traits provided with different rarities. This means the NFT you purchase might have rare traits and be more valuable than others.

x I purchased an NFT, can I eventually resell it?

Yes. If you own an NFT, you can resell it. There are platforms like Opensea which enable public listings and secondary market. When reselling NFTs there are fees which get automatically cut off the reselling price, such as the platform fee ( usually 2.5 to 5 % ) and artist royalties ( usually between 2.5 to 10 % ).
